First Recovery Group most often takes primary responsibility for identifying, as well as recovering and reporting subrogation opportunities. (A small number of clients provide First Recovery Group with specific files, assuming the responsibility for identifying opportunities themselves.)
Usually, we receive a data feed of all paid claims from the healthcare
payor and then, using our exclusive SubroMAX® system, analyze ICD-9 codes, CPT codes and episodes of care, to identify cases with recovery potential. We are also able to search court
records, insurance databases, and workers compensation records. |
We use the premier technology for identifying, managing and reporting for subrogation claims. We developed this technology, called SubroMAX®, ourselves. The people who developed this technology are part of our management team, so we adapt elements of the program to particular needs of a specific client. And because subrogation claims recovery is all we do, this kind of adaptation is a primary competency and something we do readily and quickly.
